GRE Exam Pattern and GRE Score In Nigeria 2025

GRE Exam Pattern In Nigeria

GRE Exam Pattern is specified by ETS((Educational Testing Services). In the GRE exam pattern, the question paper is divided into three main sections, namely, Analytical Writing, Verbal Reasoning, and Quantitative Reasoning. The details of the section are given below :

Analytical Writing
  • This section checks your skills of examining facts, judging the given evidence, dissecting arguments and putting forward your views in the most convincing and logical manner.
  • Paper-based :2 sections- 2 tasks
    60 minutes

  • Computer-based :1 sections- 2 tasks
    60 minutes

  • Verbal Reasoning
  • This section evaluates your ability to interpret the content, author’s viewpoint and intentions, arrange the points made, and connect the dots over several ideas presented, even if they may not necessarily be documented in a unified manner. This may be a difficult area for the candidate who is not from an English background.
  • Paper-based :2 sections- 50 Questions
    70 minutes

  • Computer-based :2 sections- 40 Questions
    60 minutes

  • Quantitative Reasoning
  • Here your level of comfort with numbers and quantitative data is evaluated. You will be required to solve problems with the help of models and mathematical formulas (from algebra, geometry, arithmetic). The positive news is that you will be allowed, to use a calculator, which will make your work a bit easier.
  • Paper-based :2 sections- 50 Questions
    80 minutes

  • Computer-based :2 sections- 40 Questions
    70 minutes

    GRE Test Score in Nigeria

    GRE Score: Computer-based Test

    If you have appeared for a computer-based GRE test, your GRE score results will be available in your ETS account within 10 to 15 days from the test date. It will also be sent to the institutions you had selected during your GRE registration.

    GRE Score: Paper-based Test

    If you have appeared for the paper-based GRE test, the results of your GRE score will be available in your ETS Account within 5 weeks from the test date and it will also be sent to the institutions you had selected at the time of GRE registration.

    The GRE score report sent to the institutions chosen by you will contain this information about you:

  • Your Contact Information. Name, Address, Email and Phone Number
  • Graduate Major, you want to apply for.
  • GRE Scores and Percentile Ranks.
